The School commits to a purpose statement that defines beliefs about teaching and learning including the expectations for learners. We have a process the review of our mission (see below), that is documented, and in which all stakeholders participate (through surveys, feedback, meetings, activities, that are all aligned with the mission). Surveys on the fulfillment of the mission are sistematically applied, reviewed, and communicated, once a year, starting the process in spring. Our mission has clear expectations for student learning, which are clearly defined with measurable expectations for student learning (in our Sunrise curriculum Focus and Practicums). Our mission statement also includes references to shared beliefs about teaching and learning.
