The school plans and delivers professional learning to improve the learning environment, learner achievement, and the institution’s effectiveness. The school has a process for planning and delivering professional learning, that includes evaluation for effectiveness (surveys and observations), uses results to improve practice and learner achievement (eleot and teacher observations), uses results to increase content knowledge, and organizational effectiveness. The process uses data from a variety of academic and non-academic sources, from evaluation and supervision processes. Most members of the faculty and staff receive, regularly and frequently, relevant and job-embedded professional learning to improve their practice and achieve institutional goals (see below the Semper Altius catalog for PD, as well as our own school PD plan).
