The governing authority adheres to a code of ethics, conflict policy, and functions within defined roles and responsibilities. They are written and published. The governing authority adopts and adheres to policies that clearly provide leaders the autonomy for day-to-day operations. All the members of the governing authority always hold themselves accountable to the code of ethics, and all school policy. The roles, responsibilities, and requirements for professional development are well defined based on bext practices and the experience of a 60+ years network of schools. Data and bechmarks are always use for decision making. Governing authority members are trained once every two years, or every time a member is new, as part of the induction process.
