The school provides experiences that cultivate and improve leadership effectiveness. Every student and member of the staff at the school is expected to participate in the virtue campaigns, where the school values are promoted and lived. At the same students are expected to participate in social service apostolic activies, within the school, or in local communities. These activities represent a great opportunity for leadership skills development. Also, students are encouraged to participate in academic, sports and social service competitions and projects. The most important ones are the annual Friendship Tournament (Torneo de la amistad), the PIBA (Premio Internacional Bachillerato Anahuac), and TAI (Torneo Academico Internacional). There are also many other opportunities like the Spelling Bee, Olimpiada del Conocimiento, UN Model, etc. Teachers and staff are encouraged to grow personally and professionally by taking courses, diplomas, masters and doctorates in our sister universities, or other recognized institutions, to develop professional and leadership skills. There is an excellent formal structure for mentoring and training (provided from our Semper Altius central office), and coaching for each one of the teachers, through the biweekly one-on-one academic coordinator-teacher meeting. There are professional learning communities on different topics on the first Friday of each month where at school we hold the "jornada pedagógica". All stakeholder groups are involved in decision-making through their responses on surveys, and their participation on focus groups.
